Helz Cuppleditch has been involved in the design industry since 1982, when she began her career as a designer for a floral studio working alongside top fashion designers and photographers at high profile events. Never far away was a sketchbook, and as time went by her childhood love of drawing was maturing.

Now, Helz works with publishers and manufacturers to produce sophisticated artwork for prints and house-ware goods, together with commercial ranges of adorable characters. She enjoys the challenge of producing work for advertising agencies and publishers, following briefs and meeting deadlines, transferring ideas into reality either as illustrations or 3d materials.

Helz love of nature and flowers are always evident, and her fascination by the uniqueness of each flower has inspired many detailed fine art floral paintings. She is attracted to detail and precision, showing individual hairs on the stamen of a flower, or each stitch on a characters outfit

Helz lives on the south coast of England with her daughter, who is the main inspiration of her characters.  Most Fridays, Helz puts a couple of hours aside to work as a community artist in a local school, giving the children the opportunity to try their hand at sketching, drawing and painting with her friendly expert tuition to inspire and encourage them.
