Helz Cuppleditch has been involved in the design industry since 1982, when she began her career as a designer for a floral studio working alongside top fashion designers and photographers at high profile events. Never far away was a sketchbook, and as time went by her childhood love of drawing was maturing.

Now, Helz works with publishers and manufacturers to produce sophisticated artwork for prints, greetings cards, giftware and household goods, together with commercial ranges of adorable characters. She enjoys the challenge of producing work for advertising agencies and publishers, following briefs and meeting deadlines, transferring ideas into reality.

Helz lives on the south coast of England with her daughter, who is the main inspiration of her characters. Helz has been appointed onto the Board of Directors at the Association of Illustrators, the only UK trade organisation to represent illustrators and their rights.
